Setting up the Software

  • Install ROS Kinetic
  • Install cv_bridge
  • Install OpenCV
  • Install BlueRobotics ping libs:
pip install bluerobotics-ping==0.0.9
  • Now create a ros workspace and build it, and run it:
cd workspace/src
git clone https://github.com/CentraleNantesRobotics/ping360_sonar.git
cd ..
catkin build
source devel/setup.bash
roslaunch ping360_sonar example.launch

SerialException Error

sudo chmod -R 777 /dev/ttyUSB0
